While it seemed fun and adventurous just moments before, when she stared down the five-story fall to the water, Jordan Holgerson had second thoughts. Seconds later, she was shoved off, desperately flailing in an uncontrolled plummet.
“In the air I was trying to push myself… so my feet could hit first, but it didn’t really work.”
The harrowing video, captured on a friend’s cell phone, has gone viral.
Surviving the nearly 60 foot fall, she struggled for consciousness in the swirling river and started drowning. Fortunately an off duty paramedic was nearby to help pull her to safety before being rushed to the hospital.

“I have five broken ribs, air bubbles in my chest and I have a punctured lung,” sixteen-year-old Holgerson said.
“This could have been horrible, she could have died,” said Holgerson’s surgeon MaryClare Sarff.
According to KGW-TV 8, the Clark County Sheriff’s Office has identified Taylor Smith, 18 as the suspect in their criminal investigation.
Jordan Holgerson’s aunt has started a GoFundMe campaign to help the family pay for medical expenses. If you’d like to donate, click here to visit the GoFundMe page.
