“No Siri, I was being sarcastic—but you’re not one for detecting tone and inflection, are you?”
“No Siri, that was a rhetorical question.”
My relationship with Siri has been contentious lately―guess it’s always been, but on top of that, lately I’ve been hitting it off with Google maps. I’m becoming more trusting, like: “That’s actually considered a street? Okay here we go…”
You see Google maps understands me, knows I like jumping off the beaten path… sends me onto roads where no-one else goes.
Directions: “Siri, I’ve decided to go another way” becomes too much of a process. With directions, like in our relationship, it takes Siri quite awhile to move from denial into acceptance. She’s good to me sometimes but, I dunno, sometimes I feel like… Siri… dontcha know me at all?
Siri: “I live to serve.”
Umm… kinda coming off as desperate and creepy. And uh, you ain’t alive―so… now this is really awkward.
Anyway I’m just lookin’ for the gas station. We didn’t need to go there.
